Handcrafted in our Białka cooperative workshops from solid wood, this freestanding wardrobe system provides organized clothing storage without requiring built-in closets or permanent installation. Available in two heights—a full-size version (182x93x42 cm) and a more compact option (132x93x42 cm)—these wardrobes adapt to different ceiling heights and storage needs while maintaining the same robust construction and natural wood beauty. Both sizes are constructed entirely from solid wood, carefully selected for grain quality, structural stability, and natural beauty. Our craftspeople understand that furniture which will hold clothing requires particular attention to smoothness and finish quality—there can be no rough edges or splinters that might snag fabrics, no unfinished surfaces that could transfer oils or moisture to garments. Every component is carefully milled to precise dimensions, thoroughly sanded through progressive grits, and assembled using traditional joinery techniques that create structures of lasting rigidity without relying solely on mechanical fasteners. The frame design employs vertical posts connected by horizontal rails that create both structural integrity and functional hanging space. The construction is open yet sturdy, providing visual lightness that prevents the wardrobe from overwhelming smaller rooms while maintaining the strength to support dozens of hanging garments without sagging or flexing. The open design also facilitates air circulation around stored clothing—important for preventing mustiness or moisture buildup that can occur in enclosed storage. Cross-bracing and carefully positioned supports ensure the structure remains square and stable even when fully loaded. The multiple hanging rails provide versatile storage options for different garment types and lengths. Upper rails accommodate full-length coats, dresses, and suits, while lower rails can hold shorter items like shirts, jackets, or folded pants.
