Spólnota, a Visionary Wood Community
Enduring Heritage
Spólnota is first and foremost a story of passion and collective craftsmanship. Founded over 75 years ago in the heart of Bialka, near Maków Podhalański, the cooperative was established by a group of wood artisans united by a shared vision: to create durable, beautiful, and accessible furniture together.
What started as a small local workshop has grown, over the decades, into one of Europe's largest producers of deckchairs and wooden sleds.
Rooted in Polish artisanal tradition, Spólnota today combines a love of wood, ecology, and industrial precision, while remaining faithful to the cooperative spirit of its beginnings.
Each piece of furniture, each leżak, each sanki tells a bit of this story: that of a community bound by a passion for wood and turned toward the future.

Combining traditional craftsmanship with a passion for wood, Spólnota's artisans transform contemporary industrial challenges into sustainable and innovative opportunities.
75 years of wood mastery
The beginnings
Birth of the Work Cooperative
Founded in Białka as a woodwork cooperative producing simple furniture, toys, and sleds for the local market. Rooted in the Beskids woodworking tradition since day one.
Industrialization and specialization
Growth in production capacity
Workshop modernization enabled larger-scale production of camping furniture, folding chairs, and the iconic 'Tatry' and 'Yaro' sleds. First exports to Central and Western Europe began.
International expansion
One of Europe's largest producers
Spólnota becomes one of Europe's largest solid wood deckchair producers, exporting 90% to France, Germany, and Scandinavia. FSC, TÜV, and FCBA certifications guarantee quality and European compliance.
Ecological transition and diversification
Environmental responsibility
Introduction of eco-responsible production with FSC certified wood and ecological lacquers. Launch of customizable advertising deckchairs and catalog expansion into children's furniture and decorative items.

Spólnota Today
With over 75 years of craftsmanship and innovation, Spólnota is today one of Europe's leading manufacturers of solid wood deckchairs, sledges, and outdoor furniture.
Combining industrial capacity with artisanal care, our cooperative continues to grow sustainably — exporting Polish wood design to over 20 countries worldwide.
Each piece we create carries forward decades of expertise while embracing modern design and sustainable practices.
Crafted in Białka, Poland
Each Spólnota product is made in our cooperative workshops in the Beskids, where generations of artisans have shaped wood with precision and respect.
